IN THE BEGINNING
Not many people know Novus Genesis is actually
the second part of a larger story ,, her predecessor
was a short lived comic strip I did for a small local
magazine/newspaper In California called VISIONS .
The strip's name was EVOLUTION FACTOR.
This little strip was an epitome of comics in the 90's
it had everything from super psychics government
projects to prophetical doomsday messiahs, the
story was basically most of the usual stuff comics
from image had in those days .. large guns , powerful
enemies with deliriums of grandeur and military
generals who saw conspiracies by those different
to the main population everywhere. A little of
X-men and lots of " the fugitive " ,, the entire cast
run it with the fearless leader Ralph Jacobs a trained
soldier turn super psychic in the service of the
army. follow by their trainer ( the doctor xavier of
the series sort to speak )
the mysterious Dao ,, .
The series began after one of the members
of the team had a vision,, a vision of a messiah
in a distant future ,, the vision been at first just
a blur image of a world gone mad and this
messiah been responsible some how, made
the Project directors fearful of their creation
do to the fact the team creation had lots to do
with this so call messiah's existence Making
the project director , a general named Robert
Magduval try to kill it's members
trying to avoid this future come to pass.
But the team escaped and the series began
always trying to stay one step ahead of the evil
general and try to comfirm the prophesy by
trying to get a cleaner image in their visions.
At the end , the evil general died and all records
of the project and it's members where totally
erase, Some members died along the way
one in Particular was Melanie Patterson the
girl that originally saw the ill vision of doom,
wish this scared the team during the entire
short series, at the end after the smoke cleared
Ralph was approach by a " COSMIC " entity who
told him all the past events could be change.
( yes as I said this series had everything LOL )
This " COSMIC" entity send ralph back in time
to posses his own body and stop the slain of
Melanie and prevent the team to go rouge,
After Ralph succeed in his mission and killed
the evil general Magduval before he could do
any real damage , he suddenly wake up in
his former project office in present time ( 1993 )
as if nothing had happened,, melanie was alive
and the project evolved into what Dao always
envision,, The entity reappears to ralph to tell
him now the time line was reset and fix ,, and
leave him with one last message ...
" destiny can always be delay ...
Never erase. "
with this Ralph approached the now alive
Melanie who is having yet another vision..
A new Vision of the Messiah ,, but this time
a clearer one ,, and proclaims " is not a he..,
is a she" and by looking to dao she then
say ... " and you got something to do with it! "
The series ended in march of 1994 or so,,
